When Julia and I first met, it was at an event in Charlotte, NC where we ended up chatting for 3 hours. So it's no surprise to me when I found out she was pregnant for the second time, that we ended up capturing her newborn session for her sweet girl at their home in Charlotte.

Rob + Julia move around a lot for Rob's job with the NFL, but you would never know that, as it felt like home hanging out with their sweet fam. We started in the nursery where the lighting really popped off, and ended up eating popsicles outside while I snapped photos in-between.

Photos with me feel nostalgic, warm, and connected. I hope you leave feeling the same!

We hung out in the living room and listened to dad play the guitar. Jade was a little fussy but nothing that a little milk from mom and guitar strumming from dad won't fix ☀️

You would have never known that this kiddo, within 10 minutes of our time together, face planted straight into the sand. This is what a maternity session with a 2 year old can look like. 😆

We just *brushed* it off and kept going and he had a blast. 💥

I was talking to a mom friend about how suggestions to read certain parenting books, to read her bible more, to make sure her kids act a certain way, etc is not helpful to a new mom or even a seasoned mom who is struggling with the daily give and take of motherhood.

This season I see you -

I see you crying out of frustration because you haven't had a break.

I see you dealing with your mental health all alone.

I see you living far from family and you're it!

I see you.
